Easter Weekend in St. George

No matter how old or young you are, Easter weekend is always a blast in St. George. The kids will have a 4-day weekend. The weather is will be perfect with temperatures in the upper 70’s and low 80’s. Here are some highlights for the Week

1 -

Cottontail Scramble - Monday March 26

Peter Cottontail will be at Tonaquint Park for the annual egg hunt. Check in will begin at 5:15 pm at the North Pavilion and the egg hunt will begin at 6pm sharp. It is $3.50 per youth (2-8 year olds)

Pre-registration can be done at https://www.activityreg.com/selectactivity_t2.wcsor in person at the SG Rec Center. Day of registration will be accepted.

The St. George Art Festival began 39 years ago, showcasing the many artists who call St. George their home. Since then it has expanded to include over 110 artists juried from hundreds of entries from throughout the United States. Festival goers enjoy thousands of original works of art, live entertainment on two stages, a vibrant children's area, and foods of all kinds. Over 30,000 residents and visitors from around the West converge in the beautiful town of St. George on Easter weekend, one of the busiest travel weekends of the year. The festival is set in the beautiful Town Square with its carousel, fountains and water features, flower gardens, and historic buildings. The Art Festival is known for consistently outstanding artwork, and treating artists as special guests. The St. George Art Festival is produced by the City of St. George Leisure Services Department. The Calvary Church will hold its 10th year of service at Tuacahn this year. They have two services for everyone to enjoy. The services are non-denominational and the whole community is invited.

Sunrise Service is at 8AMFamily Service is at 11 AM

Nursery/Child Care Provided

At the 11 am service we have Nursery Care for babies 0-3 years old. We also have Children’s Ministry for K – 6 grade, with a Youth Worship Team, Bible teaching, crafts and snacks. Both Nursery and Children’s Ministry have a 100% positive check-in and check-out with wrist bands for every child and parent.

7 PM - Mass of the Lord’s Last Supper and Washing of the Feet (English/Spanish)

Good Friday March 30th

11 AM - Ecumenical Way of the Cross from Bluff Street Park
12 PM – Bilingual Stations of the Cross in the church.
1 PM – Seven Last Words of Christ (English).
3 PM – Celebration of the Passion of the Lord, veneration of the Cross
7 PM – Celebration of the Passion of the Lord, veneration of the Cross (Spanish).

Holy Saturday March 31st
8 PM – Vigil Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord.

Easter Sunday, April 1st
9 AM – Mass
11 AM – Mass
1 PM – Mass (Spanish)
